This dish is a classic Japanese dish , made with fried rice , scrambled eggs topped with Demi-glace sauce.
Ingredients: 1. 1 medium onion
2. 3 cloves of garlic
3. 4 cups white rice
4. Few tbsp soy sauce
5. 8 eggs (2 eggs for each guest)
6. salt to taste
7. oregano
8. Thyme (dried or fresh)
Prep Time: 15 mins
Cook time: 30 mins
Method:
1. Dice the onion and finely chop the garlic
2. Sauté the onion and garlic in olive oil
3. By the time onions and garlic sauté , put the rice on to boil
4. once the onions and garlic are sautéed and rice is cooked , drain and add the rice in the pan.
5. In the pan with rice , onions and garlic add a few tbsp.'s of soy sauce to change the color of the rice and to add flavor.
6. Put the Rice in a bowl like this :
7. Immediately invert into a dinner and DO NOT REMOVE THE BOWL from the plate as the rice may deform.
Scrambled Eggs:
1. take a cold pan
2. Crack 2 eggs into the pan and add a few knobs of butter
3. On a low heat keep mixing with a rubber spatula.
4. As it start curdling get it off the heat for 5 seconds and continue whisking
5. Keep doing this until it comes together .
6. Once its nice and creamy add salt and pepper to your taste .
7 . TAKE IT OFF THE HEAT SO IT DOESNT OVER COOK
Plating:
1. Take the bowl off the rice and de-mold
2 . Carefully spoon the scrambled eggs so the rice doesn't deform and fall apart.
